Aldea Day Adolescent Program for Treatment

Aldea Day Adolescent Program for Treatment

Aldea Day Adolescent Program for Treatment (A.D.A.P.T.) improves the emotional and academic functioning of special education-qualified high school students who have mental health challenges so they can graduate from high school or safely transition to a less restrictive academic environment.

In partnership with Napa Valley Unified School District (NVUSD), A.D.A.P.T. provides a highly structured therapeutic setting that couples classroom instruction with:

  • Crisis intervention
  • Behavior management
  • Milieu therapy
  • Psychiatry, including assessments and medication management
  • Individual and group therapy
  • Family therapy (as needed)
  • Social and independent living skills support
  • 24-hour emergency assistance
  • Coordination of community resources (e.g., NVUSD, Napa County Office of Education, Napa County Health and Human Services, Napa County Probation, ParentsCAN, local therapists)

  • High school students (9th through 12th grade) with Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and
  • Referred by the NVUSD Special Education Local Plan Area
