Child Abuse Treatment


The purpose of the Child Abuse Treatment Program is to provide comprehensive psychotherapy services to children victimized by abuse and/or neglect. Aldea will provide psychotherapy services for family members and/or caregivers of child victims are also available to help with the treatment of the child via our community partners. This program is funded by the State of California, Office of Emergency Services (CalOES) and Office of Victims of Crimes (VOC).

Services Provided:

  • Clinical Assessment & Treatment Plan
  • Trauma-Informed Psychotherapy and/or victim-centered therapy
  • Substance Use Disorder Services (SUDS- with dual diagnosis)
  • Crisis Intervention
  • Group Counseling
  • Parenting Program ( The Triple P – Positive Parenting Program)
  • Case management
  • Treatment plan meetings with parents/caregivers
  • Criminal justice system orientation
  • Outreach
  • Transportation services to psychotherapy
  • Transportation to criminal justice-related activities


Napa County Resident- Eligibility:

  1.  Child victims & secondary victims, such as minor siblings
  2.  Ages 6 yrs. to 17yrs old
  3. Children who do not have access to services due to:
    • lack of available resources
    • lack of mental health insurance
  1. Children non-eligibility for other programs or services

*Priority should be given to child victims who are underserved or are dependents of the court and involved in the child welfare system.
