As most are aware, many counties in the North Bay Area have been affected by devastating fires, including Aldea's service areas of Napa and Solano counties. We hope that you and your loved ones are safe and wanted to provide an update on the status of the Aldea "little village" as detailed below:
Aldea's Napa and Fairfield offices are closed through Friday 10/13 due to the fires and poor air quality in the area. Currently, Aldea's school-based therapists, alcohol and drug counselors, and therapists from our clinic have been have been redeployed to support mental health needs in our community. It is our plan to reopen all Napa and Solano county offices on Monday 10/16, assuming conditions improve.
Thanks to Napa Valley Community Foundation & Napa Valley Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD), Aldea is one of the local agencies trained in disaster response, and is coordinating with other agencies and Napa County to help plan crisis counseling, housing, children exposed to trauma assistance, and among other needs. Napa County Mental Health has requested Aldea's support in the shelters through Sunday and we are already supporting our community members in need.
Staff are in contact with their supervisors, and as of now, everyone on the Aldea team is still safe and no one has lost their home. We are grateful for this news and hope that you and your family members are safe as well.
We will be posting regular updates on our website and Facebook page. If you need to contact us, please message us via Facebook, as that is the easiest way that we can respond at this time. We know that our community will come together to support one another during this unprecedented disaster and come back stronger than ever. Thank you for being a part of the Aldea "little village."
