Our Programs
Aldea offers a wide variety of treatment options with a continuum of care ranging
from outpatient services, therapeutic schools, supported living to developmentally
disabled adults, treatment foster care, and residential treatment. Throughout the
continuum of care we provide advocacy, child abuse prevention and treatment, counseling
and consultation, individual, group and family psychotherapy, psychiatric evaluation
and medication management, psychological assessment, school based therapeutic services,
teen mentoring, and respite.
Aldea’s Mental Health Programs
Outpatient
Counseling Centers in Napa and Sonoma County. Our board-certified child psychiatrist
and therapists make Aldea a beacon of hope in the heart of our community. We care
for children and their families at our Napa and Solano clinics, in schools, and
through targeted community initiatives, like our art therapy program for kids.
ADAPT. This day treatment program
helps emotionally disturbed teenagers who have not been able to function successfully
in public school and are in danger of being placed in group homes. A high school
curriculum is supplemented by individual, group and family therapy, plus round-the-clock
on-call support aimed at keeping families together.
Solano Parent Network.
We meet the deep needs of parents of emotionally disturbed children with information,
education, support groups and sometimes just a break from the demands of parenting.
Supported Living
Services. Adults with developmental disabilities are able to live independent
lives when given crucial support. SLS clients live on their own in the community,
receiving help with grocery shopping, housekeeping, transportation, mental and medical
needs, and much more.
Aldea’s Child Welfare Programs
Treatment Foster Care.
We take in kids in crisis who have been removed from their homes because of abuse
or serious neglect, and we keep them safe. Our foster families are extensively screened
and trained to build trust with kids who have had too little in their lives. We
work to reunite children with birth parents, or to find “forever families” who are
ready to adopt through the Aldea adoption program.
Redwood Treatment Center and Aldea School. Teenage boys who can’t live at
home because of severe emotional and behavioral difficulties get 24-hour care in
a safe, therapeutic family setting. A highly structured environment includes a full
curriculum, behavior management and mental healthcare.
